The Art Harun game of lies that Pakatan is playing
Ringkas cerita, every story that comes out of the mouths of the Pakatan Harapan people is a lie. Nothing they say is true. And whatever they do is not about the rakyat but about their personal interests and their lust for power.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
The brouhaha regarding the appointment of Azhar Azizan Harun a.k.a. Art Harun as the Speaker of the House is a game of misinformation and deception being played by Pakatan Harapan. Basically, it was not even a storm in a teacup but a non-issue altogether. But then Pakatan loves playing such games.
Pakatan Harapan lied when they disputed Art Harun’s appointment as the Speaker
Standing Order 4 is very clear. Any Member of the House (which means one of the 222 Members of Parliament) can propose a qualified person as the Yang di-Pertua or Speaker.
Standing Order 4(2) says: “The proposal shall be seconded, but no debate shall be allowed.”
Standing Order 4(3) says: “If only one member or person be so proposed and seconded as Yang di-Pertua, he shall be declared by the Setiausaha without question put, to have been elected.”
Which part of “no debate shall be allowed” or “he shall be declared by the Setiausaha without question put, to have been elected” do these Pakatan Harapan people not understand?
To Pakatan Harapan, politics is merely a means to attain power. Everything is a game to these Pakatan Harapan people. That is why since they formed the government in May 2018, all they talk about is how long Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad should stay as Prime Minister and when he should step aside and hand power to Anwar Ibrahim.
Lim Guan Eng and Tommy Thomas lied about Teoh Beng Hock and the Chinese are outraged
Pakatan Harapan is so obsessed with the post of Prime Minister that it is like a disease or sickness.
They no longer even care about the rakyat. When asked about their election promises, they replied that the election manifesto is not a holy book and hence need not be followed. Anyway, all those election promises are not realistic, they said, and they made those promises thinking they would not win the general election in May 2018 — meaning they would not have to keep those promises.
Yes, even their election promises and election manifesto was just a game. It was something they never expected they would need to deliver. And when they actually won the general election, they had to scramble to look for all sorts of excuses as to why they made promises they knew they could not keep and never intended to keep.
Dr Mahathir and Guan Eng kept changing the 1MDB figure from 42 to 50 to 150 and now admit it is only RM30 billion after all
Pakatan Harapan’s main election weapon was 1MDB. First, they said RM42 billion of 1MDB’s money has lesap or disappeared into thin air. Then they increased the figure to “RM50 billion or more”. Finally, Lim Guan Eng said the figure is more than RM150 billion.
Today they say it is just RM30 billion or so. Why keep inflating the figure and keep moving the goalposts and finally admit the figure is RM30 billion?
Okay, so the 1MDB figure is RM30 billion after all, not RM42 billion or RM50 billion or RM150 billion. But that figure is gross, not net. What about 1MDB’s RM50-60 billion worth of assets and investments? RM30 billion is gross and this figure does not take into account 1MDB’s assets and investments worth RM50-60 billion.
Until today Pakatan Harapan is still playing around with the 1MDB story.
Mahathir brought down Pakatan Harapan because he was pissed with DAP and PKR and then blamed Muhyiddin for it
The 1MDB story is a lie. The Muhyiddin Yassin betrayed Mahathir to bring down Pakatan Harapan story is a lie (Mahathir himself brought down Pakatan Harapan). The Muhyiddin is an illegal or backdoor Prime Minister story is a lie (Muhyiddin’s appointment followed the Constitution). The Art Harun is an illegal or backdoor Parliament Speaker story is a lie (Art’s appointment followed the Standing Orders).
