Since 1990, which is 30 years now, we have been hearing about the “fight” or “struggle” against corruption, abuse of power, and wastage of public funds and taxpayers’ money.
Those propagating this noble cause want to instil and install competency, transparency, and accountability. They want to see a Malaysia that offers justice, equality and fair-play.

Of course, there is no country on earth that can give you all this. Even the most “open” nation in the world, France, that defends to the death your right to free speech, would jail you if you say anything bad about the Jews or deny that the holocaust happened.
Holland, which legalises ganja and prostitution, would label you a terrorist and arrest you if you openly campaign for Al Qaeda, Islamic State, Boko Haram, the Taliban, etc.
Hence everything is relative — and relative to time and place. What used to be illegal or immoral in a certain place in a certain time (such as gay marriages) could, today, be legal and moral — or vice versa (such as child marriages).

REUTERS: U.S. electric carmaker Tesla Inc won its case against a former employee, who was fired for hacking and transferring company data to third parties, according to court documents filed on Thursday.
Tesla had filed a lawsuit against Martin Tripp, who formerly worked at the Tesla Gigafactory in Nevada, in 2018 claiming that he had admitted to writing software that hacked the carmaker’s manufacturing operating system, transferring several gigabytes of its data to third parties and making false claims to the media.

What happened in the Tesla case above is opposite to what happened in the Xavier Andre Justo case, who was jailed for 18 months in the Klong Prem prison in Thailand. In Malaysia, however, Justo was hailed as a hero and even got to meet Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in Putrajaya.
Yes, in some countries Justo (and his partners-in-crime such as Clare Rewcastle Brown and Tong Kooi Ong) is considered a crook but in Malaysia he was treated like Nelson Mandela. Why is that?
Is a crook not still a crook whatever the circumstances? Why are crooks in other countries treated as heroes in Malaysia?

Simple. That is because Malaysians are not sincere about the “fight” or “struggle” against corruption, abuse of power, and wastage of public funds and taxpayers’ money. This is not about propagating a noble cause to instil and install competency, transparency, and accountability. They do not really want to see a Malaysia that offers justice, equality and fair-play. It is all an opposition party bullshit.
This is about politics and everything they say and do is to gain political mileage and to win votes. And only after the DAP-led Pakatan Harapan government was in power for 22 months from May 2018 to February 2020 was this con revealed.
No one in Malaysia really wants to see change or reforms. Change or reforms are merely slogans they use to con Malaysians into voting for them. These people, never mind who they are (NGOs and Bersih included), are snake-oil merchants.

And that is the reason Malaysia is a corrupt country.
Politicians are interested in only one thing, and that thing is power. And they will lie and cheat and use anything they can to get into power. So, ignore what they say because they are all tricksters. When you vote focus on who can ensure your economic well-being.
Stop trying to look for angels. There are no angels in politics. Angels live in heaven, not on earth. Look for the lesser of the two evils. Vote for a devil you know than a devil like Pakatan Harapan, claiming to be an angel, whom you do not know (and find out later after 22 months that they are actually bigger devils).
