Anwar’s premature ejaculation: did he play into Umno’s hands?

The question is, is Anwar using Umno (or the “independent” Umno MPs) to become PM or is Umno using Anwar instead to trigger GE15? The next 24 hours will tell. If this proves to be just another “16 September” hoax, Anwar’s credibility would be utterly destroyed and there is no way he can recover from this fiasco.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Anwar Ibrahim’s objective since 1982 is to become Malaysia’s Prime Minister. It is a dream he has been harbouring for 38 years — a dream for Anwar but a nightmare for Malaysia.

Anwar made his move five years later in 1987 when he chose to back Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tun Ghafar Baba — a.k.a. “Team A” — instead of Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah and Tun Musa Hitam — a.k.a. “Team B”.

And the answer is simple: because it would be easier to topple Ghafar than Musa and take over as Umno’s number two. Hence Anwar supported Team A because supporting Team B would mean the end of his dream to become the Prime Minister.

Anwar joined Mahathir in Umno in 1982 for the sole purpose of becoming Prime Minister

Four years later, Anwar made his move when Mahathir appointed him the Finance Minister. For two years Anwar distributed millions of Ringgit worth of “pink forms” to the grassroots leaders in the 191 Umno divisions and the thousands of Umno branches.

In 1993, Anwar made his move and took over as Umno’s Deputy President and the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Mahathir knew that Anwar’s next move would be to take over as the Umno President and Prime Minister. So, he had Anwar closely watched and monitored. That was when they discovered Anwar’s sexcapades involving prostitutes, other people’s wives, and men/boys.

In 1997, Anwar made his move but Mahathir was ready for him. In September 1998, Mahathir countered and neutralised Anwar. Anwar’s 16-year journey to become Prime Minister ended with his arrest and eventual conviction for abuse of power and sodomy.

But Anwar refused to give up. He immediately launched his so-called reform movement, an idea he stole from Indonesia, followed by the launch of Parti Keadilan Nasional on 4th April 1999. And for the next 20 years he continued his “struggle” to become Malaysia’s Prime Minister, disguised as a struggle to reform Malaysia.

All three claim they are the legitimate Prime Minister of Malaysia

Yesterday, Anwar announced that the government has fallen, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has lost his majority in Parliament, and that he (Anwar) was now Malaysia’s new Prime Minister.

Anwar revealed he had requested an audience with Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong, but it had to be postponed because His Majesty was admitted into hospital.

According to Anwar’s circle, yesterday’s announcement was a pre-emptive strike in case he does not get an audience with the Agong. Anwar wanted Malaysia to know he had requested an audience with Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong because Muhyiddin has lost his majority in Parliament and is no longer the Prime Minister.

Anwar also wanted it to be known that he now has the majority support in Parliament mainly from the Malay-Muslim MPs from Umno.

Anwar says he has the majority Malay-Muslim support in Parliament and is now PM9

Lim Kit Siang said he was surprised and was not aware that Anwar had the majority support in Parliament, in particular the support from the Malay-Muslim MPs from Umno.

Umno President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi made it clear that Anwar does not have the support of Umno and that the rumoured 15-20 Umno MPs who support him are supporting him in their personal capacity.

In other words, the 15-20 Umno MPs who are alleged to be supporting Anwar are acting independently and the party has nothing to do with it. Zahid also made it clear that the party has no issues with the Umno MPs personally supporting Anwar even though the party officially supports Muhyiddin.

Zahid says Umno does not support Anwar but the Umno MPs are free to do so

In short, the Umno MPs are free to vote against the party if they so wish.

According to Umno insiders, these “independent” Umno MPs only support Anwar to topple Muhyiddin (not to take over from Muhyiddin) knowing that this will force Muhyiddin to dissolve Parliament to make way for GE15. They are confident, if that happens, then Umno can regain its fortunes lost in the May 2018 general election.

Umno, or the “independent” Umno MPs, may have given Anwar the impression they support him to get him to make his move against Muhyiddin. They want to use Anwar to trigger GE15 and they know Anwar is desperate enough to fall for it.

Anwar is in bed with DAP and there is no way Umno would want to jump into bed to join the orgy Anwar is having with DAP. Kicking out Bersatu just to replace it with DAP would be out of the frying pan into the fire, a very silly move indeed.
