Perak PKR chief arrested by MACC

(FMT) – Perak deputy PKR chief MA Thinagaran was arrested by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) this morning, a PKR source has confirmed.

He told FMT that Thinagaran was arrested by the anti-graft agency this morning and a car was also seized.

Meanwhile, state chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Mubarak told FMT that he has been informed that the arrest was made to help investigations into a case.

He further asked all parties to be calm and not to draw any conclusions.

“I hope his family will be strong in facing the challenges while he gets full support from his friends and supporters,” Farhash added.

Farhash hoped the investigations by MACC will not have any outside interference.
