DAP has no right to talk about betrayal
DAP has a history of betrayal and of stabbing their partners in the back, so they are the last people on earth who have the right to talk about betrayal or accuse others of betrayal. And now DAP is prepared to betray their Chinese supporters by doing a backdoor deal with Umno to oust Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin
NO HOLDS BARRED

DAP keeps talking about ‘betrayal’. Actually, DAP has no right to talk about betrayal when they have betrayed their partners many times.
In the runup to the 1999 general election, PAS had placed a full-page advertisement in The Star promising not to implement the Islamic laws of Hudud without a consensus. That means PKR, DAP, PAS and PRM — all four parties in the Barisan Alternatif coalition — must unanimously agree to the implementation of Hudud (plus any other issues as well) before it can be done.
However, that English language advert did not reach the Chinese-speaking population and Lim Kit Siang and Karpal Singh were both punished by the Penang voters — they lost their seats. The problem was, DAP left it to PAS to explain the issue. DAP did not take the trouble to do the same. Hence the Chinese voters, especially those in Penang, reacted negatively to the Barisan Alternatif coalition that included PAS.
Worried that DAP would lose Chinese support, they abandoned Barisan Alternatif in 2001 and in the 2004 general election they went solo. However, they did not do any better in the 2004 general election either. So, it was a futile effort.
In the 2008 general election, DAP returned to the coalition and joined five state governments. If not, DAP would have just won Penang without having a ‘share’ in the other four states. Of course, DAP’s quarrel with Anwar Ibrahim over the post of the Perak Menteri Besar resulted in the state falling back into Umno’s hands.
DAP then quarrelled with PAS over the post of the Selangor Menteri Besar and unilaterally closed down Pakatan Rakyat so that they could kick PAS out of the coalition. DAP then persuaded the anti-Abdul Hadi Awang faction to revolt, and when the revolt failed, they asked the ‘Team B’ to leave the party en bloc and start a new parry called Parti Amanah.
It was DAP, also, who backed Anwar Ibrahim to push Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to resign in February 2020, which resulted in the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government.
DAP has a history of betrayal and of stabbing their partners in the back, so they are the last people on earth who have the right to talk about betrayal or accuse others of betrayal. And now DAP is prepared to betray their Chinese supporters by doing a backdoor deal with Umno to oust Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
