Mahathir not only knew about Zeti but he used this secret to his advantage
Mahathir has to explain how he can condemn Najib Razak and Zahid Hamidi and call them crooks and at the same time appoint Zeti to head PNB and as a member of the CEP. And his ‘explanation’ is: he did not know until today that Zeti is a crook. Yeah, right, like he only knew in 1998, kononnya, that Anwar is gay/bisexual.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he was not aware that ex-Bank Negara Malaysia Governor, Zeti Akhtar Aziz, is a crook.
That is not true. There is nothing that happens in Malaysia which Mahathir is not aware of.

Putting the fox in charge of the chickens
One senior Special Branch officer once told me this story.
The day after Mahathir got sworn in as Malaysia’s fourth prime minister on 16th July 1981, he summoned the Director of the Special Branch to his office.
Mahathir then asked for all the Special Branch files of the top people in Malaysia (cabinet ministers, politicians, senior civil servants, corporate leaders, etc.) to be brought to him.
On Monday, the files were brought to Mahathir’s office. Mahathir looked through them and asked where his file was.
The Special Branch officer was red-faced and flustered and Mahathir told him that he knows they also have a file on him and he wanted it.
From that day on, Mahathir kept all these files and updated them from time to time. Whenever anyone gets out of line, shows too much independence, commits insubordination, or becomes a nuisance, Mahathir will summon that person, show him/her his/her file, and warn that person to get in line or suffer the consequences.
Mahathir knew everything about Najib but still wanted him as PM6 in 1996
It was common knowledge within Mahathir’s inner circle that he loves dealing with people who have skeletons in their closet because they are easier to control and can be made to do things.
In short, once you are tainted or damaged, you will become Mahathir’s dog, or bitch, as the case may be.
In fact, according to one chap in Mahathir’s inner circle — a certain ‘Megat’ — the ‘Tok Bomoh’ (that’s what they called him) knew about Anwar Ibrahim’s ‘sex crimes’ before he brought Anwar into Umno in 1982.
A damaged Anwar was less of a threat to Mahathir than an ‘Islamic’ Anwar. If Anwar ever got out of line, then Mahathir could use the secret of his sexual crimes against him.
Hence, when Mahathir said in 1998 that he did not know Anwar had a gay or bisexual lifestyle, the old man lied. He had known about Anwar in 1981 when he read the Special Branch file. And, in 1998, when Mahathir said he did not know about this ‘secret’ regarding Anwar until the ’50 Dalil’ book was published, that was main wayang saja.

And the same goes in this Zeti matter. When Mahathir appointed Zeti to sit in the Council of Eminent Persons (CEP) and to helm PNB, he had already known about Zeti’s links with Jho Low and about the hundreds of millions in her family’s bank account in Singapore. In fact, he had known about it since 2014.

Zeti hid the truth about 1MDB not to protect Najib but to protect herself and her family
Mahathir knew Abdul Hamid Bador, the Deputy Director of the Special Branch, wanted to become the IGP. But the then IGP, Khalid Abu Bakar, blocked Hamid.
And the reason is because Hamid and Khalid had a heated argument and Hamid ‘promised’ Khalid that he (Hamid) would arrest him (Khalid) when he became IGP for his (Khalid’s) links with the underworld syndicate (which Hamid recently revealed and called ‘the cartel in PDRM’).
Hence Hamid and Khalid were bitter enemies. And Khalid was tainted because of his links with ‘the cartel’ while Hamid wanted to become the IGP — but Khalid had put him in cold storage instead.
And this is what Mahathir likes because he could then use both of them. He promised Hamid the post of IGP and threatened Khalid with jail time if he did not join the six Tan Sri to fix up Najib Tun Razak on the 1MDB crime.
(The six Tan Sri are: Tan Sri Ku Li, Tan Sri Zeti, Tan Sri MACC Commissioner, Tan Sri AG, Tan Sri IGP, and the sixth Tan Sri whom I will not mention by name…wink, wink).
Bank Negara’s Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus is Zeti’s bitch and proxy, just like Zeti is Mahathir’s bitch
Anyway, as Mahathir said two days ago, the Tan Sri IGP betrayed them and he told Najib what was being planned. So Najib was able to make a preemptive attack.
It was supposed to be a surprise attack on 29th July 2015 during the Cabinet meeting. Muhyiddin Yassin would show Najib the charge sheet the AG had prepared. And unless Najib resigned as prime minister, the IGP (who would be standing outside the meeting room) would be invited in to arrest Najib.
But, a day before that, Najib made his move and got rid of everyone — Muhyiddin, the Special Branch number one and two, etc., included.
But Najib did not get rid of the IGP (who now worked for him) or Zeti (who was working for Mahathir). Why?
Mahathir knew about Zeti’s crimes back in 2014, even before she was appointed a member of the Council of Eminent Persons (CEP) in 2018
The why is simple. Zeti held many of Najib’s secrets. However, she was also tainted and had dealings with Jho Low as well, plus her family had made hundreds of millions from Jho Low. So Zeti could be blackmailed (by both Najib and Mahathir).
To cover her misdeeds, Zeti appointed her proxy, Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus, to head Bank Negara. Zeti had many secrets to hide and Shamsiah is supposed to help do this.
Then there is the matter of the Goldman Sachs and Ambank out-of-court settlements. Before Perikatan Nasional took over on 1st March 2020, they were prepared to allow Goldman Sachs and Ambank to get away with US$1.5 billion and RM600 million.
The new Perikatan Nasional government rejected both those Pakatan Harapan deals and the figures were upped to US$3.9 billion and RM2.83 billion for Goldman Sachs and Ambank respectively.
Even more important is that they knew where Jho Low was hiding and how to get him. But Pakatan Harapan did not take action to bring Jho Low home. Why? Why are they scared of what Jho Low will reveal? Who are they protecting?
SB Deputy Director Hamid Bador and IGP Khalid Abu Bakar had issues, so Mahathir used both of them to his advantage
Yes, there is so much shenanigans going on. The powers that be in Bukit Aman, the MACC, Bank Negara, the AGC, the PMO in Putrajaya, and so on, are corrupt to the core. And this involves BOTH the Barisan Nasional government and the Pakatan Harapan government. And now that Perikatan Nasional is running the country, the skeletons are popping out of the closet.
Now you know why politicians do not like clean people. Clean people cannot be blackmailed. Tainted people can.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, Zeti betrayed Najib and is now Mahathir’s dog (or bitch, if you wish). But Malaysia Today found out about her skeletons in the closet and exposed it. And now Zeti sudah kantoi big time.
