Umno postpones party elections another 18 months

(FMT) – Umno will be postponing its party elections for up to 18 months.

Umno deputy president Mohamad Hasan told FMT this was due to the current Covid-19 situation, adding that the party had informed the Registrar of Societies.

“We consulted the health ministry and the National Security Council. We were told that we could hold elections online or postpone,” he said.
