PAS perlu dengar

Anyway, this is basically a message to PAS and PPBM that they are not being looked at as equals. Maybe Umno-BN has only 51 seats in Parliament, 60 seats short of the 111 minimum seats needed to form a simple-majority government. But Umno-BN’s 51 seats mean the government is an Umno-BN government.

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Abdul Rahman Dahlan dan orang-orang yang sewaktu dengannya in Umno have spoken. The government is NOT a Perikatan Nasional government. In fact, these people are saying, it never was a Perikatan Nasional ever since 1st March 2020. It is an Umno-Barisan Nasional government.

PAS and PPBM have no relevance in this new Umno-BN government. No doubt, the government has thus far not been formed. So far, only an Umno prime minister has taken his oath of office and he does not even have a Cabinet yet. Nevertheless, the yet to be formed government is an Umno-BN government and not a Perikatan Nasional government.

A Perikatan Nasional government would mean PAS and PPBM have equal say or are equal partners in the government. But PAS and PPBM do not have equal say and are not equal partners in the government. Hence it cannot be called a Perikatan Nasional government. It is an Umno-BN government where Umno calls the shots, and the rest are mere passengers.

Some might think it is a Malaysian government. Officially and legally, it would be referred to as the Government of Malaysia or GoM. That is how other countries would call their governments — British Government, US Government, etc. They would not say “Conservative Party Government” but “British Government”.

In that case, I can officially declare I am no longer a supporter of the Perikatan Nasional government since the Perikatan Nasional government ceased to exist as of 2.30 pm yesterday Malaysian time, or 7.30am GMT.

And for those who may be wondering, I also ceased to be a supporter of Pakatan Rakyat when the coalition was officially wound up on 16th June 2015 and a new coalition called Pakatan Harapan was formed — and which did not include my party, PAS. In other words, I was kicked out of Pakatan Harapan because I am PAS.
