Sosma Bill fiasco

GOVERNMENT LOST A BILL; MOU TERMS GONE HAYWIRE; WHAT-ME-WORRY, PARLIAMENT IS CONFIRMED TO BE ONLY A PLACE FOR ‘SEMBANG KARI’ AND CLOCKING-IN FOR THE DAILY STIPEND!

We cannot believe if the government was not aware of the day for voting for its own Bill that all its whips themselves were absent from voting. What more to warn its other MPs to attend the voting!

If that was the case, with just a one-MP parliamentary majority, that this Ma’el Bera government overlooking its own bill, is indeed a joke! Or were they hoping that the Speaker had tallied wrongly and then correct himself by magically producing the winning votes!

That won’t be at all surprising, knowing that this government had apparently overlooked the Sulu Sultan’s descendants’ international suit, no matter how frivolous it might have been!

Some say the whole thing was engineered by those in the coalition who want to see Ma’el dropped as PM. Some said that it was self-engineered by Ma’el himself to hold an early PRU to please his party and yet not seen to be in default of whatever understanding he had with anybody.

It seems that only UMNO wants an early PRU to rid itself of its coalition partners since it thinks it is ready to be the single dominant ruling partner.

The opposition is not too keen as the it is too heavily divided mostly because of petty leadership issues. Old men rule supreme, even in retirement! Just being silly!

So will this silly omission lead to the dissolution of parliament and an early PRU?

Heheh! This is Malaysia, where anything pun boleh!
