Zahid: We will send invites for Umno election to the other party secretaries
The Bagan Datuk MP said for the time being the party was not keen on inviting any of the opposing party’s leaders for its current annual assembly.
(MMO) – Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today said that the party will send invitations to the secretariats of the other political parties to attend their annual party elections.
The Bagan Datuk MP said for the time being the party was not keen on inviting any of the opposing party’s leaders for its current annual assembly.
“For this upcoming assembly, we’re not keen on inviting the other political parties in the government and Perikatan Nasional (PN) to attend the officiating of the event and to listen to our policy speeches.
“However we will send invites for the early stages (before the party elections) to the secretaries-general of the coalition parties in this unity government,” he said during a press conference at Putrajaya today.
