MACC to possibly question political leader in HR Ministry probe
More officials, contractors, officers will be called, says source
(The Vibes) – More will be summoned for questioning, including a political leader, as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) investigation into the Human Resources Ministry continues.
This is part of the agency’s effort to track down a large sum of cash linked to alleged corruption involving the recruitment of migrant workers.
A source was quoted as saying by Utusan Malaysia that Human Resources Minister V. Sivakumar had been called up for questioning again after his statement was taken by MACC last Sunday.
“More ministry officials, contractors, and officers in the agencies under the ministry will be called up for questioning.
“A political party leader who takes care of party finances linked to the minister may also be called. This depends on the investigation.”
