Hamzah’s son accused of taking RM100,000 bribe
MUHAMMAD Faisal Hamzah, the son of Opposition Leader Hamzah Zainudin, pleaded not guilty today to a charge of accepting a RM100,000 bribe.
(TMI) – He was charged in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court.
Faisal, 40, allegedly accepted the money from Izmir Abd Hamid as payment for Heitech Padu Bhd to appoint Syarikat Rimba Merpati Sdn Bhd and Syarikat Per My Solutions as marketing consultants.
These companies were allegedly paid a commission of RM700,000 after Heitech Padu won a RM33 million tender from the Companies Commission of Malaysia. The tender was for the supply, rental, implementation, training, support, and maintenance of security infrastructure.
Faisal was accused of committing the offence at an office at Publika Shopping Gallery, Jalan Dutamas 1, in March 2018.
