Perikatan Nasional will field a candidate from Bersatu for the Mahkota by-election.

(NST) – Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said PN Mahkota by-election director Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali is expected to announce the name a week before nomination day.

He said PN has agreed to allow the party that previously contested in Mahkota, to field its candidate in the Sept 28 by-election.

“Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) will field its candidate to represent PN to contest in the Mahkota by-election.

“The party’s leaders will hold its final meeting on the shortlist (of the name) first before announcing who will be PN’s candidate for Mahkota by-election,” he said.

Azmin who is Bersatu supreme council was reported to have said that the Perikatan Nasional candidate for the Mahkota by-election will be announced a week earlier than nomination day.
