Rehda: Bumiputera lots account for 33% of unsold home

A TOTAL of 33% of Bumiputera lots remain unsold even after three years of completion, according to the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (Rehda).

(The Malaysian Reserve) – President Datuk Ir Ho Hon Sang said this was based on a survey of 162 respondents comprising Rehda members, which showed that nearly half of them had unsold residential units as of June this year, with a significant portion being Bumiputera lots.

“This figure also increased compared to 31% in the second half of 2023 (2H23).

“I believe this is an issue that needs to be addressed by the industry,” he said during a press conference on the Property Industry Survey for 1H24 and Market Outlook for 2H24 yesterday.
