Mahkota by-election: Only 29 per cent voter turnout as of noon today

A total of 29.08 per cent of the total eligible voters have cast their ballots during the Mahkota state seat by-election as of noon today, the Election Commission said.

(NST) – It was previously reported that a total of 61,274 eligible voters are expected to cast their ballots during the polling day for the by-election today.

The by-election witnessed a straight fight between Barisan Nasional candidate Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah and Mohamad Haizan Jaafar of Perikatan Nasional.
