Samsuri announces resignation as Perikatan Nasional treasurer

Pas vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar announced today that he has resigned as the Perikatan Nasional (PN) treasurer.

(NST) – The announcement was made in a brief statement to the leadership of Pas, reported Harakahdaily.

Samsuri said he submitted his resignation letter to PN’s management today.

“Assalamualaikum to all my friends, I would like to inform everyone that I, Ahmad Samsuri bin Mokhtar, have submitted my resignation as the treasurer of Perikatan Nasional today… That’s all. Please take note,” he said in a short message to the Pas mouthpiece.

The resignation is seen as surprising as Samsuri, who is also Terengganu Menteri Besar is considered a key figure in Pas, one of the component parties of PN.
